"2-hour laundry" sounds like marketing until you understand the logistics behind it. Giặt Ơi built a dedicated lane specifically so the number is honest. Here is exactly how a 2-hour laundry service works in Saigon, start to finish.
The 2-hour timeline
From the moment you confirm a Priority Wash order, here is roughly what happens:
- 0:00 — Pickup: a rider comes to your address in District 1, 3 or 5 and collects your bag of clothes.
- 0:15 — Intake & wash: your load goes straight onto a reserved washer. No queue.
- 1:00 — Dry: straight from washer to a reserved dryer.
- 1:30 — Fold: dried clothes are folded and bagged.
- 2:00 — Delivered: back at your door, clean, dry and folded.
The exact split varies with weight and traffic, but the promise is the whole cycle inside 2 hours.
What 2-hour laundry costs
Priority Wash is 150,000đ/kg, with a 3kg minimum and 10kg maximum. So a typical 3-4kg order runs 450,000–600,000đ. You are paying for reserved machine capacity and a guaranteed window — the premium over our other tiers buys you time.
How it compares to slower options
| Service | Time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Priority Wash | 2 hours | 150,000đ/kg (min 3kg) |
| Express | 4 hours | 50,000đ/kg (min 5kg) |
| Standard | 24 hours | 30,000đ/kg (min 5kg) |
Why only clothes, and why a 10kg cap
The 2-hour window only holds if every step is predictable. Clothes wash and dry on a known cycle; bedding, comforters and heavy items do not. That is why Priority Wash is clothes only. The 10kg maximum keeps each load inside the dryer's single-cycle capacity, so nothing has to wait for a second round.
Coverage: District 1, 3 and 5
A 2-hour promise depends on short distances. We run Priority Wash in the central districts — District 1, District 3 and District 5 — where pickup and delivery are quick. If you are elsewhere in the city, our 4-hour Express and 24-hour Standard tiers serve all of HCMC with free inner-city pickup and delivery.
What you actually receive
At the end of the 2 hours your clothes come back clean, fully dry and folded — ready to put away or pack, not damp and not in a tangle. That "fully dry" part matters more than it sounds in Ho Chi Minh City: air-drying in this humidity can leave clothes faintly damp and musty for hours, which is exactly the problem a tumble-dry service solves. Priority Wash uses a proper dryer cycle, so what you get back is wear-ready immediately.
Common questions before you book
A few things travellers and residents ask most often:
- Is 3kg a lot? It is roughly a few days of one person's everyday clothes. The 3kg minimum is the floor; you pay for at least 3kg even if your bag is lighter.
- What if my load is over 10kg? Split it, or use the 4-hour Express tier, which has no 10kg cap and costs far less per kilo.
- Can I add bedding? Not on Priority Wash. Bulky items go on the 24-hour Standard tier so they do not break the 2-hour timing.
- Does it work at night? Yes. We operate 24/7, so a 2-hour wash booked at 11pm finishes around 1am.
Booking your 2-hour wash
Order online and select Priority Wash, or call 0397 544 696. We run 24/7, so the 2-hour clock works at any hour — late-night spill before a morning meeting included. Tell us your district (Q1, Q3 or Q5) and roughly how much you have, and a rider is on the way. The clock starts at pickup, and clean, dry, folded clothes return to your door.
