This policy explains what personal data Giặt Ơi! collects, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It follows Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection No. 91/2025/QH15 (in force since 1 January 2026) and its implementing regulations. For customers in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also apply the rights of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the UK GDPR to the extent they apply.
It covers giatoi.vn, the member area my.giatoi.vn, the Ambassador Program and our contact channels (Zalo, WhatsApp, Facebook, phone, email). The Vietnamese version is the governing version; this English version is provided for convenience.

Giặt Ơi! decides the purposes and means of the processing described here and is the data controller.
When you order: name, phone number, email (if you give it), pickup and delivery address with its map location, hotel name and room number (if any), notes, the service you chose, weight, appointment times, order history, payment method and payment status. We do not collect card numbers; VietQR bank transfers are made by your own bank.
Laundry photos: photos of your items at pickup, during processing and at delivery, to record their condition and resolve questions.
Member account (my.giatoi.vn): the phone number or email you log in with, your password (stored only as a one-way hash, which we cannot read) and, if you sign in with Google, your name, email and Google account ID.
Giặt Ơi! Ambassadors: name, phone number, email, referral code, bank account details (bank, account number, account holder name), the orders credited to you and your commission.
When you contact us: the content of your messages, comments, calls or emails, and your display name, phone number or account ID on Zalo, WhatsApp or Facebook.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referral source, ad click IDs (such as Google's gclid, gbraid, wbraid and Meta's fbclid, _fbc, _fbp) and the WhatsApp reference code. When you tap a WhatsApp button on our website, the pre-filled message carries a reference code (Ref); we use it to see which page or ad the conversation came from and to link the resulting order to that ad click.
By continuing to place an order, create an account, log in or sign up as an Ambassador, you confirm that you have read this policy and agree to Giặt Ơi! processing your data for these purposes. We will not use your data for another purpose without telling you and, where the law requires it, without your consent.
Giặt Ơi! does not sell personal data. We share only what is needed with:
Providers who process data for us may use it only on our instructions and under their data protection terms.
Some of these providers store or process data outside Vietnam (for example in Singapore, the United States and other countries in the networks of Cloudflare, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Anthropic). We transfer only what each purpose needs, choose providers bound by contractual data protection commitments (for data covered by the GDPR, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism), and make transfers out of Vietnam in line with the Law on Personal Data Protection.
All connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Access to data is role-based and limited to what each job needs. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Ambassador bank details may count as sensitive personal data; we use them only to pay commission and verify the account, and we limit who can see them. If a personal data breach happens, we notify the competent authority and, where the law requires it, you, within the legal deadlines.
Under Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection you have the right to:
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you also have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller (data portability), and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live or work. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How to make a request: email hello@giatoi.vn with the subject "Personal data request", or message us on Zalo or WhatsApp at +84 397 544 696. We may need to verify your identity first, and we reply within the time the law sets (for GDPR requests, within one month at the latest). Deletion instructions: Data Deletion Policy. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before; if the data is needed for an order or account (such as your phone number or delivery address), we may be unable to continue that service.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, turn off personalised ads in your Google and Meta ad settings, or message us to ask that your data not be used for advertising.
Ambassador data (section 2) is used only to run the Ambassador account, credit orders, pay commission, verify the bank account holder's name, contact you and meet accounting and tax obligations. We keep it while you take part and for the accounting retention period the law requires. Ambassadors can view, correct, withdraw consent or ask us to delete their data at hello@giatoi.vn; withdrawing consent closes the Ambassador account. Ambassadors see only the order code, date, amount and status of the orders they referred, never the customer's name, phone number or address.
Giặt Ơi! is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16; if we find any, we delete it.
When this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date. For significant changes, we tell you on our website or through your contact channel before they apply.
