Baby skin is thinner than adult skin, so baby clothes need a gentle detergent and no leftover chemistry from somebody else's load. Giặt Ơi! washes baby clothes as a separate load with mild detergent and dries them hot. The service is coming soon to Hanoi.
Washed separately, never mixed in
Baby clothes are pulled out and run as their own load for your household. That way the fibres pick up no lint or fragrance from another customer's laundry. Add a note when you book so the bag is separated at pickup.
Gentle detergent, thorough rinse
We use a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly so nothing is left sitting in the fabric. For newborn clothes you can ask us to skip fabric softener altogether, which keeps added fragrance off your baby's skin.
Hot dried, folded dry
Baby clothes are dried at a high temperature and are completely dry before folding, and nothing is hung outside collecting street dust. Bibs, muslin cloths and mittens are folded as their own small pile so you can find them.

Baby Clothes Laundry — questions
Are baby clothes really washed separately?
Yes, they run as their own load rather than mixed with other customers' laundry. Leave a note when you book so staff separate the bag at collection.
Do you use fabric softener?
By default we wash gently and rinse thoroughly, and you can ask us to leave softener out entirely. Many families choose that for newborn clothing.
When can I use this in Hanoi?
Giặt Ơi! is preparing to launch in Hanoi and baby clothes laundry will be available from day one. The service runs today in Ho Chi Minh City.
