Gym kit holds sweat odour far longer than cotton because synthetic fibres trap it tightly. Giặt Ơi! runs sportswear through its own process, skips fabric softener on performance fabrics and dries everything completely. The service is coming soon to Hanoi.
Odour out of the fibre, not covered up
Sweat works its way into polyester and stays there if the wash is too quick. Your training kit is washed apart from everyday clothes and rinsed thoroughly so the smell leaves rather than being masked with fragrance. If you train daily, sending two or three days at a time works well.
No fabric softener on performance wear
Softener leaves a thin coating on the fibre and reduces how well running tops, leggings and shells wick moisture. That is why we leave it out of this category by default. Stretch fabrics are washed gently so they keep their elasticity.
Dried at the right heat, dried fully
Sportswear is dried at a temperature that suits stretch fabric and is completely dry before folding. Kit that is properly dry will not turn musty in your gym bag. Pricing is by weight, with the Ho Chi Minh City reference at 30,000đ/kg for the 24-hour service.

FAQ
Sportswear Laundry — questions
Can old gym shirts really stop smelling?
In most cases the odour drops noticeably after a separate wash and a thorough rinse. We do not use fragrance to cover it, so the result depends on the condition of the fibre.
Why no fabric softener?
Softener coats the fibre and makes technical fabric wick less well. Leaving it out keeps performance wear doing the job it was made for.
Can I book this in Hanoi?
Not yet, Giặt Ơi! is preparing to launch in Hanoi. Sportswear laundry runs today in Ho Chi Minh City.
